Journalism and their Duties

Robert McChesney (2004, p. 57) writes, “society needs journalism to perform three
main duties: to act as a rigorous watchdog of the powerful and those who wish to be
powerful; to ferret out truth from lies; and to present a wide range of informed
positions on key issues”. Does satire do this?
my debate is : Yes!

Requirement:
1. the aim is to verify that the third point (satire can present a wide range of informed
positions on key issues) is correct. 700 words
2. Divide several clear points
3. Use precise examples and references
4. You will be marked on the depth of your research, the strength of your argument
and the references to the readings.
