What is the Assignment Task?
Assignment One involves the student conducting a SWOT analysis, which includes
identifying personal strengths and weaknesses in addition to the opportunities and
threats that exist in their chosen job market. This assignment to be handed in on
Thursday 16 th November @ 3pm. Extensions only given in exceptional circumstances.

purpose of a SWOT analysis is to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats. Once identified, strategies that will enhance personal strengths, minimise

internal and external reflection of the current situation in order to plan for the future. Strengths
analyse the strong attributes while weaknesses analyse the weak points. Opportunities analyses
that existing chances in the environment while threats analyse current and future threats the may
affect the market. In this SWOT analysis, I analyse the strengths and weaknesses that may affect
my career propensity. In addition, I will also analyse the opportunities in hotel management
