In Week 2 – Students are required to form a group (maximum 4 girls) for the project.

In Week 3 – Students are required to choose a global company that has its operation in Saudi Arabia and submit the company’s name to the instructor’s for approval to avoid overlapping among groups.

Students are required to:

  1. Correspond with the company representative such as HR Manager, Operational Manager or any other positions that are available in the country who can provide useful information regarding the company’s policies and international practices.
  2. Obtain information through interview or email or written materials of the company. Interview questions should target data needed regarding the company’s international business strategy, learning about the company’s HR sourcing, product marketing and trade methods. Through for this assignment, students are expected to gather information about the multinational company and form a case study.

Groups are expected to submit about 6-8-page report. Follow the check list for both the report and the presentation:

  1. Explain the company’s background and its operations globally business and locally
  2. Describe the type of industry; its national and global competitors; and SWOT analysis.
  3. Illustrate your groups experience in organizing the tasks and data collection through the interview and data gathered explain type of business strategy is used, management practices used, sourcing methods, marketing methods used, how does politics and global policies affects the business.
  4. Describe objectively the lesson that you learned from this project.
  1. Presentations and reports are due on week 14.

Written submissions format:

All written assignments should be typed into a word document. The theme format should be set at “Times New Roman”,  font size to (12), and the line spacing set at (1.5). The body of all submitted papers should include an introduction that states the purpose of the paper. A body that provides a literature review, and a critical analysis. Plagarisim is not tolerated, therefore properly use quoatations when neccesary and always refrnece using “APA Style” referencing.   1. Academic Integrity – Plagiarism is an academic dishonesty and a serious offence in academic. Plagiarism is ‘an act or instance of using closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and their presentation of that author’s work as one’s own, as by not crediting the original author’ (Dictionary.com). All students work will be assessed in a software Turn-it-in to detect for plagiarisms. Students will get ZERO if the work is plagiarized.
