Task Description: Each team member will produce an individual journal of 1500 words covering
a. A critique of the theoretical and practical elements and concepts employed in the team's
response to the crisis scenario. Possible questions include: What theories did the team
draw upon in devising its strategies and responses? Were they useful? Why or why not?
What strategies were successful? With hindsight would you have done things differently?
Academic sources will be required to support your discussion. This should not be a
superficial 'road map' or 'notes' of what transpired but an insightful reflection into the

b. Detail your contribution to the team's response and management of the crisis scenario.
List tasks you were involved in and reflect on how you contributed to teamwork, timing,

c. A reflection on your experiences and the validity of these experiences to your overall
understanding of crisis management. For example, what did you learn about teamwork
and dealing with time pressures imposed by an organisational crisis? What are some of

Crisis Communication Reflection – Concorde College Case
This essay is a reflection of the group work we did from week 9 to week 12. Working on the case of Concorde College, this reflection examines the different theories, models and elements that the group employed in response to the given cases. It also delves deeper into my personal experience working with the group and in coming up with appropriate response to the cases. It also looks into the strategies that we used as a group to response to the crisis scenario, how they were appropriate, and what could be done differently. Considering the tasks I undertook as a part of the group, the reflection looks into how this experience will help to shape my future professional practice……
