Two Functions

In the police service, the office serves both administrative and primary function. One of the core functions of the office in my workplace is collecting information, while one management function is public relations and customer service.

How they are undertaken

In collecting information, the office in my workplace is the central point at which information is collected for further processing. It is the point of contact with the public and other agencies that require police services. The most important information collected at the office desk is crime information, which is entered into the occurrence book (OB).

TITLE: function of the office

Office function are the important broad activities undertaken by the office employees in order to make sure that office work is undertaken accordingly and also with a view to support  organizational operations. There are two categories of office functions- management /administration office functions and primary /core office functions.

Choose any management function and any core function of the office being undertaken within your organization (2 marks)

 

 

For each function state:

  1. how or what ways this function is being undertaken at your organization (8 marks)

 

* explain comprehensively for each function –4 marks for each functions

 

 

  1. How or what ways the chosen office function is helping the work and operations of the organization where you work (10 marks)

 

*Explain comprehensively for each chosen function-(5 marks) for each  function

 

 

  1. In what ways this function can be improved to better support the operations of the office and your organization as a whole (10 marks)

(5 marks) for each function.

 

*Be sure to note down what the problems are with how things are being done presently and also better solutions/methods/ways/strategies to improve office and organizational operations.
