Presentation (online/digital) and handout (two page)

You will present an outline for an engagement plan based on your research, for the case organisation to deliver on engagement goals. You will explain how your choice of engagement strategy will achieve this goal. Your presentation is to be recorded and uploaded to a cloud site – with the link posted to Blackboard. (Note: the link to the video must be able to be accessed by your marker).  Examples of cloud sites include zoom (recorded), adobe, you tube, etc. You will also provide a two page (max) handout to support your presentation. Engagement plan

Integrating feedback on your presentation assignment, you will present an engagement plan for the client organisation, with consideration of its goals and social environment. Your program will identify strategies and tactics appropriate for your choice of engagement strategy- and you use scholarly references to support your plan. You will also identify evaluation mechanisms, and ethical considerations relevant to your response. Students must follow the headings and content areas outlined in the assessment guide. Task:  Prepare an essay to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the key foundational concepts in this unit. Your essay should answer the key question, and provide detailed academic discussions of the key concepts, supported by examples taken from real-world situations. You will prepare an essay to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of a key foundational framework, and its relevance and consequence for community engagement practice. Your essay should provide a scholarly, academic discussion of the relevant concepts relevant to answering the question, supported by references from the unit’s and other scholarly readings. This is what critical reasoning means – that you use literature to support or refute a point. In addition to scholarly sources, you can also use examples taken from real-world situations. The format for this assignment is that of a formal academic essay with APA referencing. Essay question – Assignment 1:

Select one of the frameworks/theories of Community Engagement practice (see below) and discuss the strengths and weakness of that approach (based on critical reasoning) for ‘community’ and the potential outcomes of engagement. You must use academic/scholarly literature to support your reasoning.
