The journal will be assessed according to the marking criteria outline for this assignment with marks awarded for each entry using the criteria listed.

Week 1:  Organizational Chart and Explanation

Research and resource or create an organizational chart in a picture form that describes your organization’s way of working. Describe the type and nature of the organization, as well as the industry context in which it operates. Explain your connection to this organization.

Week 3: Data gathering plan, interview techniques and ethical responsibilities

Research and identify different research methods available and write an entry on the methods you intend to use and why. Write a comparison of two interview techniques you have studied this week, identify the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Outline the ethical responsibilities associated with collecting and storing data for research purposes.

Week7 – Mind map Your Research Problem and Research Tools: submit a mind map of your project.

  • Inner layer: the business issue of your project is trying to solve
  • 1st layer: possible causes of the issue
  • 2nd layer: break causes into smaller, researchable parts
  • Outer layer: how the possible causes will be researched (be specific about research methods and data types).

The map should be accompanied by 200-300-word explanation, to ensure the reader understands what the map shows.

Use colors, shapes and arrows etcetera to make it clear and visual.

Week 10 – Secondary Research Sources:

Use the mind map created for the week 7 Journal Entry to show relevant sources of secondary information for your project.

For each node on your mind map, provide a full APA style reference to a credible secondary source of information. Make sure the reader can clearly see which to node/s each source is connected.
