The study sought to answer the following research question: Which factors influence the son in their succession of the family firm in the KSA context?

The research objectives were:

  1. To determine gender significantly determines the succession of family businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  2. Note: To determine whether
  • To determine experience in family business management influences the succession of family business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  1. To measure which factor of the two factors mentioned above “gender and experiences in family business management” has the greatest impact on succession in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  2. To analyses the factors that influence the desire of the successor to take over the management of family business

Quantitative data analysed was collected from Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey (GUESSS). The study analysed data from 1641 respondents who participated in the study. This section is divided into two main parts; data analysis and discussion of research findings. Under data analysis, descriptive and inferential research is analysed while the discussion of the research findings is guided by the four research objectives listed above.
